Oathsworn’s Burrows & Badgers Vagabonds Clash On Kickstarter
February 28, 2018 by brennon
Oathsworn Miniatures took to Kickstarter this week with their new Burrows & Badgers Kickstarter entitled Rogues & Vagabonds. This new campaign brings two new sets of characters to life...
You can either go in for a full pledge which gets you all of the miniatures, plus whatever is unlocked through additional funds raised as part of the Kickstarter, or you can just focus in on one of the sets.
I think of the two sets I actually prefer the Vagabonds here with their warriors in chainmail. In saying that, the model of Jagrimm The Swift, Sparrowhawk, is one of the coolest miniatures I've seen.
The little Highlander Clan Mouse is too hard to ignore when it comes down to it though. If you just can't choose between the two you can also just sign up at $0 and add on what you like once the campaign has reached its end.
One of the other impressive pieces built for this collection is the Ruined Chapel Window, as great additional terrain piece for giving your Burrows & Badgers tables that authentic look.
I think if you've taken part in all of the Burrows & Badgers campaigns to date you could actually get yourself a table worth of terrain at this point!
What do you think of this campaign?

That’s some anthropomorphic awesome sauce there. Too bad it is running against Banman. 🙁
Thing is, you’re always running against something! I tend to try and just think of it positively – it means more people will be on KS, looking at stuff, because they went there for Batman, and maybe they’ll stick around to back some of the small companies too… fingers crossed, anyway! 😉
I think that’s definitely more of a plus if anything – good Kickstarters seem to be a constancy, but if someone’s just shelled out £100 plus for a boardgame then they’re a lot more likely to pick up some miniatures they just fell in love with, especially when there’s something for every budget. Obviously for some people there is going to be a hard choice between backing one project and another, in which case my money would be on the project with the actual anthropomorphic bat miniature as a £2.50 add-on rather than the one with the guy in the… Read more »
back this straight off the bat. love the vagabonds and need more dog for my warband
Thanks! I do need to sculpt more dogs… and more rabbits… weasels… foxes… more everything, really!
Backed this straight off for the full set of miniatures and the chapel window. The miniatures are all great – the three Brother Knights are an ideal core of any Royalist warband and the Pi-rat I think is probably my favourite sculpt. I’ve been looking to do a pirate crew warband for some time, and he’d make an ideal leader/captain. Rats have never really appealed to me in the past as I felt the other animals had more character, but this one is amazingly characterful. Nice to see a cat with a rifle here too. Given the introduction of firearms… Read more »
Thanks – I’m slowly adding more pirates; I need enough for a full crew! 😉
The firearms are always going to be a bit controversial, I think… I’ll just have to keep them few and far between! Definitely need more slings and crossbows, though.
For a few brief moments I thought I’d snuck in real early then I found out over a hundred people left me in the dust. A great start to be sure 🙂
We always get a nice flurry of backers at the start! It’s one of the reasons I’m tempted to run more 24 hour projects…
In other news, Osprey tell me there’s a shiny new rulebook heading out in the post to me now!
@brennon I’ve asked Osprey to make sure you get a review copy! 😉
