A Ferocious Graven Prepares To Swoop Down From ArcWorlde’s Skies
February 28, 2018 by dracs
Warploque is showing off another WIP monster for ArcWorlde: Troubles in the North. This time it's a new take on the Griffin, turning it into an ominous graven.
The graven is a mix of a lion and a corvid, making for a leaner, more morbid looking monster.
One of the best things about ArcWorlde is the new direction it finds to approach fantasy staples. This is a perfect example and I can't wait to see it painted.
What sort of Griffin-like creations would you like to see?

It looks really nice. I like the look of his ancient dragon and some of his trolls. I’d like to see it with its wings! 🙂
Uuuh – that looked like a chicken in the thumb! 😀 Way better as a griffon. Bit slim at the back, I feel, for the big mare.
Nice but the beak looks wrong
It is suposed to be a crow or raven’s beak …. looks fine to me and I see bloody crows every day.
so the pictures with eagle heads are crap then?
It’s been a while since I ordered from Warploque, but the list is still there. I’ve added this to it.
Damn that looks cool
