I think I am going to cry as the walker gets cut since those models are going for as much as $300 on eBay. Otherwise, looks like a great project.
Can’t wait to see the end result and then see some games played on it
This game has the potential to be either a smash or a …….. in other words, will it be an The Empire Strikes Back ( best SW film ) or The Phantom Menace ( nuff said )
What model is the AT-AT is that an original Kenner toy?
It’t a 2010 Hasbro release. It HAD sound effects and all sorts. NO LONGER! MWHAHAHAHA
Woohoo! What an awesome project! : )
That’s going to make an awesome table. Just be aware that legion is officially on a 6×3 not 6×4, it’s a strange choice of table size!
Will you be trying to cut a slice off of the bottom to try and bury it a bit?
I’m really looking forward to legion and am working on a Scarif table.
Looking forward to watching the progress of this. Was that the finished table was behind the 3 stooges in the XLBS video ?
As far as Legion goes,” looking forward to it ” is a massive understatement, I’m really excited to get my hands on table top Star Wars 😀 .
Nope. John is blogging daily so it’s not finished yet…barely started in fact.
Just curious, I’ll get back in my shell now and get to watching the table come to life and the AT-AT lose it limbs 😀 .
Love the notes scrawled on the table. Particularly the direct, if somewhat indelicate “Ramp into ass” 😀 😀 😀
If you “bury” the AT-AT somewhat into the table, the innards could be accessed by foot from the ground and the ramps and scaffolds would be level with the top surface increasing accessibility.
looks great…Star Wars Legion is played on a 6′ by 3′ table
We use 6×4 and dedicate 6inches each side for cards and tokens etc
That’s a genius idea Warren
Lol all credit to @avernos for that gem 😉
6×3? Come on man where is your spirit, your derring do, your espirit de corps. Let your megalomania run free. This surely deserves 8×5 minimum
I really like this idea. Curious as to how you are going to set the AT-AT into the terrain, as in your research art.
Sound’s great the first thing I seen that’s needing work is the feet they look like candle holders if your leaving it in that general position.
I have a … good feeling about this.
what has happened to the IG army vlog?
Probably set to the side as the series was taking a long time and the release of Legion is next month.
Yes it will be back soon projects like that will always have a couple of breaks in them. Also helps mix things up a bit.
Just on hold for a moment as we really wanted to make this table. Don’t worry, it will return! John’s not escaping that easily.
haha that’s exactly what I was thinking! Poor John.
on R n R after taking out the AT-AT?
Yes! Table build VLOG series, these are the best. That’s going to be an amazing table.
This looks awesome, very much looking forward to following it. Love the tables you guys put together.
Despite already having more games and figures than I can reasonably use, I don’t think I’m going to be able to resist a Legion splurge when it comes out. Very excited about it. It’s Star Wars!
NOOOOO
@johnlyons the AT-AT whisper strike again …
This is going to be cool!
Liking the concept for the gaming table, just a pity you could`t find a damaged AT-AT to use instead of a good one. Can`t wait to see how it turns out.
Lots of great ideas for tables. I can’t wait to get started on my own table, look like release date here in the US is Mid March (22nd I believe).
finally i have to catch up with this series ….
