Please film a game with some of the armies you have done!
They are looking great! It really brings back memories of old white dwarf, seeing all the random armies people made (out of all sorts of stuff! not just GW back then)
I remember an imp guard force that had an AT ST toy as a titan. It was awesome! I also remember a battle report for “Orks drift” which had a british army based imp guard force, very similar to this if I recall correctly
I realise saying that the british army is similar to prussians is going to upset some people, but I mean the style of conversion work to historical miniatures is what I’m getting at, don’t lynch me 😉
Allright, I’ll put my machete away. For now. 😀
If you are trimming tiny parts, you can put down some double sided tape on your board and press the part down onto the tape. There is less of a chance to have a small bit fly away when clipped. I do something similar with photo etch parts. I tape one side of the photo etch sprue and then trim off parts. Haven’t lost a bit since.
John, have you tried moving the camera to an overhead view of your work area?
Yes, but I tend to lean in very close when I am working. So you would only see my impressive balding spot 😛
Alas, I didn’t know you were a leaner!
Oh. I forgot I was asked for a scale comparisson between regular Cadians and these guys! I will add it to the post soon!
Size image is up!
they look pretty close.
ooh… with all the piping and the optics the grenadiers are so well put into 40k. It’s hard to tell that they don’t belong there.
Great work on the mounted commander as well. He looks really fine and ties very well into the theme. I would say giving the commanders a pistol is no big deal. It makes them stand out a bit better. And the feathers will be a great eye catcher for the leaders in your games.
They just keep getting better. I think you are almost at priming stage : )
The next time we hang out, I’ll show you how I do my greenstuff cabling.
Yes please Dave!
Greenstuff World Cable Maker?
Maplin’s are good for tiny drill bits john.
I’ll keep that in mind 🙂
you take your time mate. they’re coming together beautifully.
These are coming along great, and really starting to come together.
Awesome converions, they’re really getting a big 40k vibe now!
I absolutely love this vlog series. Really like how they are coming along.
Loving the flamers and the optics just makes the guns so scifi, any update for the heavy weapons??
I will update you today 🙂
fantastic ! nothing to add.
REALLY like the optic on top of the rifle.
Feather is a really nice touch on the leaders too!
Really coming together nicely!
Looking awesome buddy, all the extra touches are great loving the cabling. I do pretty much the same and sometimes wrap it in a smaller gauge copper wire round the larger gauge wirelocking to give a ridged effect.
