@johnlyons you should try the GW Texture paints for the bases.
I really like the way the plasma glow came out!
Looks like you have painted the cloak in the pics in the post, but once you pre-shade, you can spray over ghost tints to get a nice single color with highlights and shading pretty quickly. For the leather pouches, you can stipple a couple of other shades of brown to break up the color and make the leather look a little warn in.
The plasma glow is nice perfect for when I start my Death Guard army with,
Thanks for posting.
@johnlyons loving the plasma glow. Using a finger to wipe glazes off the raised areas is a trick I picked up from James Wappel’s videos and it’s a great technique.
And using an airbrush that far into painting some figures? Wow, you’re much braver than I am!
Phewww .. nerve-racking job .. I’m glad you did show it too us 🙂
But the result is really fantastic
Plasma glow looks great.
Agree on the plasma glow, I feel bad just painting my with a copper color now. I’ll have to think about how I might fix that with a highlight of some sort.
Will definitely want to see how the liquid cover stuff works out.
nice airbrush work on the cloak, simple but effective. the glow effect was bob on.
two for two on the experiments.
@johnlyons Hold the phone, John. You are going to have to strip the models and repaint them with Green Stuff Worlds Color Changing Paints now. Or not. 🙂 But I would like to see you pick these paints up and give them a try, perhaps on some leftover ‘Nid models.
