Footsore Hit The Streets With More Gangs Of Rome Previews
November 27, 2017 by brennon
Footsore Miniatures continue to get that hype going for Gangs of Rome with some new previews of what you can expect from the game and it's model range next year. For example, we got a better look at more of the gang members as a whole...
...and in particular a sneaky look at the Gladiator who is armed and armoured for a good fight at the behest of his master no doubt.
As a tough warrior, this fellow will be someone you'd want when you know you're in for a proper scrap on the streets. Fighting alongside others who have served in the Arena and bleed for the entertainment of others you could weave quite a story around this helmeted fellow.
Street Folk
Building on the atmosphere of the game we also have some more models for the Mob and others who might be thronging the streets and making your life that little harder.
I wouldn't trust a single one of them, they all look shifty to me. Each of them could be hiding a dagger in their tunic just waiting to stab you. They also showed off this set of Slavers with some unfortunate souls.
Taken from the furthest reaches of the Empire you could almost make a big deal out of freeing them from their masters with a bit of cold hard steel in their master's guts and giving them the choice to fight for you.
I'm not sure any of you are going to be that well-meaning in this game of backstabbing and skullduggery though are you?
Drop your thoughts on the new models below...

Those look rather good.
I just watched Wallace-Hadril talking about Herculaneum on UK TV – ex-slaves and life in the town streets 🙂

Ooh this looks fascinating. Thanks for linking!
the whole way through I was thinking 28mm !
They are 28mm aren’t they?
yes
Those will look great in the studio during the Bootcamp (that is not on the same weekend as BonesCon)
I love it. I want them all.
Really tempted by this game, seems very characterful and a tonne of interesting rules.
he’s Spartacus ?
I thought I was? Aren’t you?
Well, if there’s the remotest chance that you can build an entire gang from gladiators, i’m sold, this game is a must have.
As the minis do not have to look like their character cards you can use gladiator minis but I’m not sure how well they will blend with the mob 🙂
Oh, and the gladiator pictured is a special ‘coin’ that one of the gang can have. There’s a Mastiff ‘coin’ that works in the same way as well.
I’m trying not to look but I’m posting on here so obviously failing miserably
Here’s the real ‘Necromunda’ 😉
This is going to be proper awesome!
Can’t wait till January..
I am super excited for this. Pre-orders this friday!
Gangs O’ Frome?
Never heard of it, but I’m intrigued by this…war..game?
whatever one of those is.
Give it a go. You may enjoy it. They have toy soldiers
mhmmm, toys of soldiers, by gods you’ve swayed me with your cunning argument.
I shall give it a whirl, what’s the worst that can happen, if I don’t enjoy these “soldier toys”
I can always stop buying them.
You can always stop buying them. We all can. If we want to.
This is gonna be so cool! I’m really looking forward to seeing the table @lloyd will be making for it!
yes the table @lloyd has been describing in my head sounds amazing
I’m really excited for the Rome table @lloyd will be making too. I’m going to try making one just like it from the detailed vlog he posts for it 😛
yes the detailed vlog that @lloyd will make should be a joy to behold. I imagine that @lloyd‘s table will be the talk of the bootcamp and that @lloyd‘s rome will be as important for the future of gaming as @lloyd‘s foam rocks and cliffs.
….
Do you think @Lloyd has got the message? 😉
Well if @Lloyd does an amazing 16′ x 4′ table I will be at the Bootcamp…. oh wit who am I kidding a Bootcamp I will be there whatever…lol I am slowly being drawn into this as it reminds me of a Roman version of Saga I played about 8 years ago 🙂
