The Elite Steel Legion Previewed For Para Bellum’s Conquest
November 24, 2017 by brennon
Para Bellum Wargames showed off a new preview for the world of Conquest. Here we have the Steel Legion, some of the finest fighters in The Hundred Kingdoms.
Covered in plate armour and wielding some massive broadswords, these warriors are at the forefront of your army, dealing mighty blows to the enemy and bringing low some of their mightiest beasts.
These warriors are looking rather spiffing, although I think that their swords might be a little oversized, especially around the bottom of the blade and the crossguard. Other than that though, I love the idea of rock hard fighters with big swords.
You can also find out more about their fluff and background here...
Whilst they might look like noble warriors, they are also mercenaries. Whilst they are fighting on the side of good against those arrayed against The Hundred Kingdoms they are still a force unto themselves and could turn the tide in the favour of whomever they supported should the opportunity arise.
What do you think?
"I love the idea of rock hard fighters with big swords..."
And just when I thought I had enough of platemail! 😛
Very nice looking figures, although those swords remind me of toothpicks.
I think it’s the fact that the cutting edge starts so high up on the sword.
Those are really nice.
a great heavy looking unit.
My enthusiasm for this game waxes and wanes. That last beastie they showed was cool but then these guys are barely above average. The posing is wooden and the swords look like plastic training weapons. The paint job really lets them down too. It’s a decent tabletop standard but does that really cut it when you’re trying to launch a new game?! And for such a dark foreboding world, where’s the dirt and grime?
The more I see the less interested I am.
The minis just dont convince me. I hoped they will catch what made the artworks stand out but they failed by a mile.
Is it just me, or the do the legs look a little short?
They look great. I like to use my mini’s in lots of other systems and RPG’s, they would benefit from having a few of those in them.
