Sometimes you come across some very interesting ideas while browsing Kickstarter. All Out War - Battleground Volume 1 is one such case. Here is a guy out of Canada, Mathieu Marchand who has created his own fantasy game system and pieces to play the game.

What you get when you back this is a set of rules and the stat cards along with the files to print your own terrain as well as the miniatures to play with. You will print movement trays as well as card storage trays. Want to print dice as well, OK no problem they are included as well.

What I find interesting about this project is the buildings are actually designed by Printable Scenery.com. I have backed several of their Kickstarter and love their pieces. They are some very high-quality files and print really clean.

The miniatures themselves I am not sure who designed them, but I am very interested to see how they print out on an FFM printer vs an SLA. We are just now seeing some decent miniature figures being printed.

As far as the rules, I am not too sure on how they will play as of yet. However, they are claiming that you can use the ruleset with just about any genre of setting you would like. Also, there is a resource management aspect to the game as well.

This is how you gain further units in the game and you build your army as you play the game. That is an interesting twist.

I am very curious to see how this pans out, currently 2 days into the campaign they are approximately 60% funded and still have about 30 days left. It is on my watchlist.

What do you think of an entire 3D Printable Wargame?
