Burning Games’ Dragons Are Conquering America
November 3, 2017 by brennon
Burning Games are currently on Kickstarter looking to fund their new adventure role-playing series, Dragons Conquer America, which adds those dangerous fire breathers into the mix during the invasion of the New World.
The background behind this is that after the fall of the Roman Empire, these mighty creatures of myth and legends were born again and found themselves being used and tamed by the Europeans for their prowess on the battlefield.
This then leads to them being used in the invasion of America. Here the Mexicans clash against the Spanish invaders with monstrous beasts of their own and the story unfolds from there in an episodic fashion.
The cool thing about this is that the episodes play out as you swing from side to side as well so in the first instance you'll be playing as the natives before switching up to the Spanish.
As things progress and continue with the campaign hopefully we'll see this story develop. The actual artwork for this game is looking superb, and I love the novel concept behind the story.
Make sure to check this one out in more detail.
What do you think of the idea?

I’m glad you mentioned this here. The artwork looks fantastic and it’s an interesting setting, but it needs more backers.
this game sounds to be tempting.
Having backed their previous Kickstarter for Faith RPG, I can attest to the quality of their products both in respect to the production and art as well as the actual gameplay. Burning Games are my new favourite RPG publishers and I am backing this one to, they have a free quick start adventure on the KS page and their website which gives a good idea of the gameplay and background.
Obviously I am backing this.
Running a lot slower than their Faith campaigns. I don’t know how much promotion they did for it though, I Backed Faith so I get all their emails and I only heard about this when it launched. KS is so cluttered with RPGs nowadays I think you really need to make a lot of noise to stand out.
That said, I’m not trying to disparage them. I Backed Faith because I’d heard they’d done such a good job so I hope this starts to gain some momentum.
