A Mighty Dwarf & Pirate Captain Now Available From Scale75
November 3, 2017 by brennon
Scale75 have some new large-scale miniatures to throw into the ring for hobbyists and painters to get stuck into. Both of them have a Fantasy slant to them starting with Broin Bearsonn...
This mighty Dwarf looks like he's a ranger of some kind, heading beyond the defences of his mountain hold in search of enemy forces that may threaten their lands. He reminds me a lot of the Dwarf from the original World of Warcraft cinematic.
It's cool to see that he has all of his kit strapped to his back with shield, tankard, horn and bedroll at hand. A proper ranging warrior that would be a joy to paint up.
I could see him done up in a post-battle scheme as well maybe with a bit of blood and grime over him to show how much he has toiled.
Piratical Behaviour
As well as this Dwarf we have the Pirate Mary Read. While we said that the model had a Fantasy slant, Mary Read was actually a proper pirate from history.
She was one of the most famed female pirates in history and whilst I'm sure she didn't quite look like this she does cut an imposing figure.
She fought alongside the likes of Calico Jack when she took to the high seas and those who are fans of Black Flag, the Assassin's Creed game, will be familiar with her as one of the best characters from the cast.
What do you think of these new models as big projects?
