Fantasy Flight Games have been showing off the early Beta copies of Fallout: The Board Game here at Essen SPIEL '17. Now, remember everything we're covering here is subject to change and they might tweak things before the release.

Vault Boy is the mascot character of the Vault-Tec corporation within the Fallout universe, appearing in their adverts, manuals, products and training films.
It is all good, looks like the person doing the presentation never played the video game at all. I knew there had to be at least one person who never played. LOL!
* Puts on Fallout nerd hat *, the Pip-boy is what the Vault Dwellers wear on their wrists. As @turbocooler says, the Vault Boy mascot is used by Vault-Tec in the Fallout universe. BoS ( Brotherhood of Steel ) is my faction of choice to ally with, gotta love the Power Armour 😀 .
I’m actually looking forward to both this game and the Modiphius table-top game.
