Speaking of Big Tanks. I know you guys like games that have lasted over time. One of the big daddies is Steve Jackson’s OGRE which is 30yrs old and the digital version multiplayer version of it has been released on Steam. http://store.steampowered.com/app/517780/Ogre/ It pretty much incorporates everything from the 6th Edition as well as the designer edition and many expansions. Plus, you can design your own maps and such. While I know it is not a physical game, it is a great game that you can play online with friends when the weather is really bad and you cannot meet.… Read more »
Are we going to see a primer red Tiger?
I think that could be something to talk about on Monday, keep your eyes peeled for that 🙂
time to break out my big book of tank camo schemes John and go nuts, you heard him 😉
For ariels I use a cheap brush, from a dustpan and brush set, the bristles are black plastic so they bend and there is no need for painting.
Now that’s something I hadn’t thought of!
@avernos Good to see traditional model making methods still being used
if it ain’t broke @torros
@warzan that’s a record… you got through a discussion on WW2 German Armour without a single mention of a STUG…..lol
drool, tanks, need more tanks 🙂
Oooooo nice. Looking forward to this.
Just remember @warzan
Panther = Panzer V = Big Turret
Tiger = Panzer VI or Tiger I = Flat turret
King Tiger = Panzer VIB or Tiger II = Sloped Turret
Also (fun fact) it’s not called a King Tiger that’s a mistranslation of Königstiger which is German for Bengal Tiger. The allies used the name King Tiger so it’s an acceptable word but not technically correct to a purist.
Or :
Panther : call in support, request more tanks
Tiger : as previous, then run away
King Tiger : forget about it, full reverse, all engines, let the fly boys sort them out …
No Grant/Lee for the Americans? Or are you going late War only?
I’m aiming for a late war 🙂
I was able to resist not getting the new King Tiger from Warlord but after seeing this and then a battle later on. I don’t know if I will be able any more.
Warren needs some STUGs, at least he’ll know what they are.
I think we all have kit`s laying around, from part built to fully painted. I for one am one of those people, but for me it`s 4 different Spacemarine Armies – one Dark Eldar force – one German and one American army (bolt action). I just never seem to have the time to finish them, but i will one day.
Will be interesting to see how this develops, and see how Warzen and AZ cope with all that armour.
Great to see some more Bolt Action on BoW again!
Are you going to help Az out with a couple of Easy-eights with 76mm guns. Or even a couple of Oddball Shermans to even the score!
Looking forward to the continuing developments on this.
The tanks look great john/guys.
Late War is the way to go for Tank Battles.
