Three Doctors Together In Special Who Episode
October 17, 2013 by brennon
While this isn't miniature news it is pretty awesome geek news. The BBC have shown off some more images from the upcoming The Day of the Doctor episode which will play a part in the 50th anniversary of one of the longest running series in the UK.
As you can see David Tennant (probably my favourite of the new Doctors) has joined forces with Matt Smith and John Hurt's representation of the Doctor for what promises to be a very good episode. Clara Oswald will also be joining The Doctor for this epic adventure...
It will be fun to see where this all ends up as the story has been twisting and turning for a while now. How John Hurt mixes with the other two Doctors is going to be very fun indeed and of course Peter Capaldi is waiting in the wings.
It's a shame that Matt Smith is going to be leaving but I think that Peter Capaldi will be a very worthy replacement and should carry the series into the new year.
Will you be tuning in for this one?
For some reason I always found I liked the older actors playing the role much more than the younger guys.
I’m rather hoping we can get away from the ‘run about a lot to dramatic music’ and look at some longer plot arcs in the Tom Baker mode. It would also be great to have a calmer, more sedate actor – more Holmes than Flash Gordon.
Matt Smith’s done a great job being a darker Doctor but he’s had scripts where the companion solves everything.
I will miss Matt smith he did play a much better doctor than tennant. David era made the doctor too human, Matt brought back the fact he was an alien. I am also happy that they have got an older actor for the next one. I am just sad that no classic docs will be back, confirmed by Moffat.
Also BOW i submitted a piece of news for a offical Doctor Who wargame, (Doctor Who risk), which has several armies of Daleks, missions etc https://forbiddenplanet.com/108799-doctor-who-risk-forbidden-planet-exclusive/ weeks ago.
I’ll prolly give it a miss personally – was hoping they’d bring an old doctor back like Paul McGann as im more into the 60’s, 80’s and 90’s eras myself. I was excited that two long lost stories “Enemy of the world” and “web of fear” have been returned to the BBC and released though – I think thats some good news 🙂 hope those into these Newer ones enjoy their show however 🙂
