Delving into a bit of Historical and Fantasy at the same time we have two new releases from Unreleased Miniatures to check out. The first is Genghis Khan himself, mounted up and ready for battle.

Genghis Khan #1

The kit for this model will be metal and features the warlord with both a bow at his side and a great war axe in his hands.

Genghis Khan #2

Genghis is a fascinating character in History and it would be fun to see someone bring together an army based on his horde of warriors. There are plenty of other Mongol miniatures out there to start your own army with him at the head of it.

Elven Archers

In a completely different twist, we also have this set of Noble Elf Cavalry which comes as a set of two Elves mounted on horseback with bows drawn.

Noble Elf Cavalry #1

I suppose it's quite fitting for these mounted archers to be featured alongside a Mongolian warrior given their ability to shoot from horseback with such skill. Noble Elf Cavalry #2

This second model above was the one that I liked the best as it showed off the haughty attitude of the Elves that is so prevalent with their race. You could drop these into a skirmishing warband and they have very little to identify them towards any particular game so you have loads of options here.

What do you think of these offerings?
