New Aquilon Terminators Fight For Forge World’s Legio Custodes
July 4, 2017 by brennon
Joining their battle brothers on the tabletop the Aquilon Terminators are coming soon for the Legio Custodes thanks to Forge World. Take a look at the latest preview...
The armour blends elements from the Custodian Guard designs as well as that of the Cataphractii Pattern Armour. It also really does draw on classic pieces of Warhammer 40,000 artwork to give it an archaic and maybe even overly lavish feel.
Weapon-wise these terminators are armed with all manner of devastating armaments including the infernus firepikes and solarite power talons. As with most of the Legio Custodes arsenal, they are similar to the weapons used by the standard Space Marine but with an extra bit of spice which seems only fitting.
It's becoming very easy to start building up a proper Legio Custodes force on the tabletop now thanks to Forge World. Have any of you begun your journey?

And here I was trying to figure out how to make my own Lugft Huron instead of buying it from FW. 😛
Oh wait. These are FW. NEVERMIND.
I’m wondering if Forge World Space Marines will suddenly jump in size at some point.
Apparently they wont. Primaris marines are supposed to be 40k only along with things like centurions.
Those look really good. But I am not fan of those horsetails.
They look good – hope to see the Saturnine terminators at some point though.
Lovely detail but posing seems odd, one to see in the flesh for me, I am so tempted by a HH Custodes force.
were they on Prospero?
Yes Valdor and a sizable contigent went with Russ along with Sisters of silence and a few Sonx of Horus by the forgeworld book.
nice thought it was just standard custodes with Russ.
These are georgious! I love them!
Since we got the true scale marines I dont like unscaled Marines anymore and wont touch one ever again.
I think GW moving to true scale Marines put Forgeworld in a bad position.
As Agis said the normal plastic power armoured Custodes is bigger than the normal plastic power armoured Marine so these will also be bigger than SM Terminators.
And the new Primaris MArines will complement not replace the old ones, so you will still be seeing them.
I doubt GW will release any other Marines than Primaris from now on.
Of course they say both model lines are complementary, else millions of Space Marine Armies would burn. But the plan surley is to replace old Marines with the new ones.
Hmm these guys will be at least as big as Primaris Marines!
Custodes are already that big.
I love the minis and will get them, only thing that bugs me is the IMO very bad decision of FW to stick for 30K with the horrible almost unplayable 7th edition rules.
Really? I’ve found seventh works well for 30k, I never seemed to get the issues you get playing 40k, i.e. Nobbish behaviour. I cheered when they said they were staying in seventh, means my 7 £70 black Horus heresy books aren’t redundant just yet lol.
I would give FW the benefit of doubt, HH was orginaly made with the 6th edition rules and I have heard FW was suprised by the release of the 7th edition and since then it was never fully “integrated” into the HH and now they can correct some things they didn’t like about the 7th edition.
I think if circumstances hadn’t been as they were with Alan heresy would be moving to 8th sooner, I would still expect a move in the future.
Also think the more limited armies and army selection counter a lot of the negatives for me that 7th had.
