Arkham Horror Card Game Expansion Sends You To The Asylum
July 3, 2017 by dracs
It looks like the Arkham Horror Card Game has finally eroded your sanity as the new expansion, The Unspeakable Oath, sends you to the asylum.
In this new expansion, the second Mythos pack in The Path to Carcosa cycle, location plays an important part as you and your friends explore the confines of Arkham's insane asylum.
The Unspeakable Oath also brings with it twenty-four new player cards, as well as Patrons, whose resources and connections could help in your investigations.
This game really does hit the right note for Cthulhu fans and the game's adventures have all been fascinating to play through so far.
Do you play the Arkham Horror Card Game? Do you think you will head out on this new investigation?

Crikey, I haven’t even finished the Dunhich Legacy yet! Never the less, I will pick this up for sure. Arkham Horror is my current go-to travel game, as it is easy to take everything you need for 1-2 players to play through 2 scenarios and fit it into a small box.
Dunwich, rather.
We got Undimensioned & Unseen done at the weekend.
How much replayability is there with each mission? Is it pretty much a case of ‘done and dusted’, worth playing few a few times, or can you potentially keepin going through the same mission over and over again?
That’s not an easy question to answer as a lot will depend on what you value when you replay a game. The scenarios won’t change much if you replay them, though they are designed so that there are alternate cards you can swap in and get new content on a replay. There are other things you can change up, such as the investigators you use, the difficulty level, and the decisions you make (especially from a campaign perspective). The scenarios aren’t spoiler heavy, so there’s nothing to stop you from playing them multiple times even if you don’t change anything.… Read more »
I’m curious as well. I’m considering giving this game a try with the wife. Is there replayability in these expansions?
