New Polish Airborne Units Get Ready To Invade In Warlord’s Bolt Action

Fighting beside the Allies during World War II we have some of the bravest fighters coming to the tabletop from Warlord Games. Meet some of the new Polish Airborne troops gracing Bolt Action.
Leading the way we have this set of metal figures here. They would make up, for example, the core of your force that was parachuted into Arnhem during Operation Market Garden. They held on valiantly but unfortunately were beaten back.
Maybe you could change their fortunes however with additional units like their HQ Section...
...or some heavy support from their MMG Teams?
A whole range of specialist weapon teams are also available for you to add into the mix with sniper rifles, flamers, mortars and much more. If you're looking to build up a more focused Polish force then Warlord Games have supplied you with plenty of options.
So, as you plan for a lengthier campaign with these soldiers you can start to add to your force and maybe add in a few of those plastic components from the latest Airborne kit in order to bulk them out into a full fighting force.
I like the idea of doing a smaller but elite force of Polish soldiers on the tabletop rather than collecting one of the big names like Britain or America.
What do you think of these Polish troops?
"They would make up, for example, the core of your force that was parachuted into Arnhem during Operation Market Garden..."
Silly (but genuine) question: what’s the difference between these and British airborne troops?
Bigger berets that are grey not red. Uniform is the same except for a few patches. You can make Poles from the Plastic Airborne box.
Plus the Polish get the cool ‘Winged Hussar’ badge.
From memory apart from a yellow insignia none at all
I feel a ” The Eagle has Landed ” scenario coming on 😀 .
@somegeezer
Only the beret. The Polish ones were slightly bigger, grey with the Polish Eagle and worn in a different fashion. The helmeted figures are good for all Commonwealth Airborne troops.
Aha! Cheers.
… and I would add one more thing to what Andy sayed – mustache was even more popular between Poles than any other country at that time,
One can always determine a man’s valor and manliness by the moustache he keeps.
great figures.
