That tip about leaving a little bit of read glowing through the black was absolutely brilliant!
I cannot wait to try this stuff out, I have had really bad results with masking etc in the past, so this vid has been very useful!
Nice work gents!
this looks an excellent product, I will be seriously considering! Quick query to Brian, what airbrush would you recommend and what kind of compressor do you use?
Hey guys, thanks to the lovely people at BoW for having me, and letting me take over their site (muhahaha) We would love to hear your comments. @Elpotof Hi 🙂 glad you like what you see, there are plenty of other cool designs too, just click the link in the middle of all the BoW pages. As for your question, after trying a couple cheap airbrush/compressors, and finding out that they were usless junk, i am now using Iwata. They are not the cheapest, but generally considered one of/the best. I mainly use an Iwata eclipse brush and Iwata power… Read more »
im lucky I got the £180 deal from this kickstarter so I wont have to choose between all the designs
Congrats Bigneily 🙂 . when i made that level, i had no idea we would unlock so many designs during campaign, heh. With the ones from afterwards as well, its going to work out a hell of a deal.
So well spotted on that one 🙂
thanks for your support.
Brian.
I have often thought about getting an airbrush. After seeing this i think I’m going to be missing out on something pretty damn cool unless I do.
As mentioned in the video, my only regret is not getting one sooner, oh, and not buying a proper one first before 2 cheap rubbish ones, heh.
for vehicles they are amazingly good, but i even use them to do parts of infantry.
Brian.
makes me want to go drag racing……..hotwheels!
Great Vid
Heard about this a little late but jumped on board as soon as I saw Brian’s flame, diamonds and scale videos on the KS 😉 Can’t wait to see what else comes up as the KS is flying along. Well done Brian, can’t wait to get hold of them and give them a try.
A really great product, and something that has been wanted on the market for some time now. Although, I can’t help but notice that those scales seem to be put on backwards, after looking at some pictures to confirm. Either way, great effect, and really cool of you guys to do a how to on this.
Well you can use it any way you like, if i am wrong, i will just say its called dragon scales, and dragons are mythical 😛
but glad you like them. I’ve been using these myself for years, and it definatly does seem like people want them.
These are just the first of many 🙂
Damn, why wasn’t this about when i wanted to do the legion of the damned!!
Almost seems a shame how you cover up all of that bright orange again. Makes me wonder if you could have done it in reverse. Although it’s probably a lot easier to paint dark over light than the other way around.
HI.
You could do it the other way round if you choose, the stencil is designed to work both ways, but as you say, its easier to cover light with black, than the other way.
Less that 48 hours to go on the kickstarter! check it out before its too late 🙂
our major goal was hit with ease, so many of the pledge levels have been upgraded.
thanks
Brian
