Bolt Action Unboxing: StuG III AUSF D

Today we're taking a look at the German "Sturmgeschutz" StuG III AUSF D from Warlord Games for Bolt Action.
While some might have underestimated this vehicle it was armed with high-explosive shells which would make a mockery of enemy positions as well as armoured targets.
These assault guns, effectively moving gun emplacements, had a low profile making them perfect for tank hunting.
Are you as big of a fan of the StuG as Warren is?
Gianna & John make good presenting team! Justin does great job with John too but it’s nice to see a different dynamic.

There’s also the story of Wittmann StG-IIIB or C (short L24 gun) engaging a Soviet gunboat and submarine of all things. As the story goes (I’ve only found it in one source so I’m not 100% on its veracity), he’s rolling into a port somewhere along the Black Sea (Rostov-on-Don?) near the end of 41. The Soviets are pulling their fleet out of the port. Some of the last ships to leave are this gunboat and a submarine making for open sea while submerging. I just ordered one of these for my DAK. Can’t wait to get it painted up.
DAK did have these, @ghostbear – albeit in very small numbers. One unit was Sonderverband 288, attached to 90th Light Division. They seriously had like five of these … (Actually they were StuGBs, but same basic idea) … but they were there. 😀
More of a Flames of War fan than a Bolt Action fan but a nice unboxing…went together nicely 🙂
