Change Your Battle Tactics With Flames Of War Command Cards
June 6, 2017 by brennon
Battlefront has designed some new Command Cards for the British and Germans to use in their games of Flames Of War 4th Edition which add a little bit more spice to your games and offer up some alternative objectives in the midst of the fray.
Command Cards, like the ones you see here for the Desert Rats, can be added into the game for a points cost when you build an army, or you can discuss with your opponent on how many points you should be allowed to spend each engagement.
The full rules for the Command Cards can be found HERE but they add in new Formations, Upgrades and Warriors, some of which are hidden during gameplay until you choose to reveal them.
As well as the Command Cards for the Desert Rats and the Afrika Korps that you see here you will also be able to pick up the Fog Of War Objective Cards which add another dimension to the battlefield.
Here's how they work...
"Players follow the setup instructions for the Free For All or Dust Up mission in the rulebook but do not place any Objectives. Instead over the course of the game, the players will draw cards from the deck and play them, attempting to achieve the various objectives' victory conditions and score the associated VPs."
This gives you some alternative options for play on the tabletop as each turn will have you trying to work out which objectives to go for on an ever-changing battlefield.
I really like this idea. It was fantastic in Warhammer 40,000 and should be good to see develop in Flames Of War 4th Edition.
What do you think of the idea?
"...you will also be able to pick up the Fog Of War Objective Cards which add another dimension to the battlefield"
Nice. Your turn Warlord
Seems interesting.
