Print & Play The Miniatures For IronClads

Come and check out this first of its kind 'print from scratch' game which you have to work on from home if you'd like to bring it to life.

It does look particularly good when it's down on the table which is cool!

Very neat idea, but do enough people own or have access to 3D printers at this stage. Good luck with it.

It’s a great idea, and the minis look innovative, but I’m not convinced there’s enough people with access to a 3D printer yet. Mainly because the entry point simply isn’t low enough yet (for both cost and knowledge to use).

In the USA there are maker spaces in just about every state where you can take your files and have them printed or there are website where you can find people who have printers who will print items for you at a very low cost versus one of the online services. They are not every where like people have a TV in their home but 3D printers are prevalent and can be found. And, if you want, you can use online services. That it has X-Wing mechanics I am interested it knowing more. As a side note, Mothership another KS… Read more »

There’s quite a few Fab Labs in the UK that could be used, not sure how practical it would be to print off something like this but I really want to go to one and find out!

My gaming group has at least 3d printers owned by members.

Reminds me of Space 1889.
Time to pull it back of the shelf!

Here we are on the third and final day. It’s been a long weekend but for anyone who attended apparently a fun one. However, since it is the final day then it’s my last chance to shamelessly post as I’m going after either the 4Ground stuff or the Bushido stuff. I play Bushido here in the states. I teach it to whoever will listen, and I just try and represent it as it is. The best miniature game I’ve ever played.

interesting concept to print your own game. Not sure 3d printers have enough penetration yet for something this niche to be viable.

3D printers are still a little too costly but this sort of thing is the way of the future

Thanks for all the interest in our game! The cost of 3d printers is coming down all the time. I designed these miniatures to work on an average £300-£400 consumer printer. We’ll supply you the 3d file already orientated to get the best quality. Each mini is just a few pence to print as the plastic filament is really very cheap. The beauty is that you can print as many ships as you want! There will be a lot of customization with different weapons and gadget options for each ship. This will allow multiple configurations letting you build fleets to… Read more »
