Face Off Against Bane In Monolith’s Batman Board Game
May 27, 2017 by brennon
The latest model to be previewed for Monolith's upcoming Batman: The Board Game is the dangerous back-breaker known as Bane, shown here, painted up!
As you can see they have gone for the comic book style Bane here with all of those tubes feeding into his body, powering him up with juice to take down his foes.
I think he's going to prove to be quite the enemy to Batman and friends on the tabletop when the board game hits. I really like the style they've gone for and with it being plastic, that's even better!
Are you looking forward to seeing this game come to Kickstarter?

Nice model and pose … I quite like him
Very nice. He broke the bat and now he is going to brake the man.
They look nice. Only one problem. I told myself and my wife no more KS for the year 🙁
Ah. Really not happy about the way they chose for poor old Bane here. Way too cartoonish for my taste. And not quite in the style they showed before.
Well Bane is comic book character so him looking like one does make sense.
…only in some respect. I say ‘cartoon’ on purpose here ’cause ‘comic’ is definitely different. For me at least. Either way the amount of styles is almost infinite (as with any genre) so that’s just too broad for a clear distinction of looks. E.g. I love the style of Batman: the Animated Series (in general) and that of Frank Miller’s Batman. I don’t like the visuals that seem to be the standard choice of so many super hero comics nowadays.
In the end there’s no way around one’s taste. 😉
are these 28mil minis just wondering if you could swap out bane or other minis that your not keen on with the batman tabletop miniature figures without looking silly
BANE.
I like him and his pose.
I’ll be checking out this when it hits KS…
Any inkling as to when the KS is supposed to start?
I’m pretty sure they’ve said not until after Mythic Battles is shipped. That has an estimated delivery of December, so even if they make that it’ll be at least 2018 before this KS.
The quality of the miniatures is great… however, with this model and many others in the range, I consistently dislike the artistic choices they make : static poses, too much comic-book muscle and square jaws, and, I think, the wrong choices about which versions of the characters are depicted/used. Knight Models is much better in that respect.
