The Voice Of Isengard Threatens Rohan In LotR LCG
September 27, 2013 by brennon
The new deluxe expansion for The Lords of the Rings: The Card Game from Fantasy Flight might have slipped a little under the radar, like a Hobbit wearing an Elven Cloak, but it's certainly looking like a good one. See what you think of The Voice of Isengard.
This new set sees you wandering in the lands of Rohan and Isengard where Saruman is turning the people of Rohan against themselves using the insidious scheming of Grima. Once again you are given a new narrative experience where you must fight against the growing power of Orthanc.
Much like in other expansions you will be getting a host of cards (165 of them in fact) and scenarios to run them through as you try to keep the darkness at bay and stop it spilling out into the plains of Rohan. The artwork is once again, fantastic too.
As you can see from the cards above we're in for a treat with this one. I have been powering on with the basic game and a few expansions for a while now but I would love to dive ahead into the rest of this card game and experience the full journey of the Fellowship and those around them.
I love the co-op nature of this game and the fact it plays so well as a solo game also makes for an awesome experience.
Will you be picking this one up?

Looks interesting seeing Sauron still as an ally
Do you know what the “doomed 3” means Ben, or is it something new for this expansion.
I haven’t come across it atm in the core set. Still need to man up and face the second adventure. Want to try building a deck but that is not my forte!
When ‘Doomed’ is revealed you have to immediately raise your threat by that amount. Yeah it’s nasty. Only during the set-up stage of the quest phase though. So it can be avoided by other means.
BoW Ben
Oww owww owww!
Wish I hadn’t asked now! lol
Thanks Ben
