Can You Sink Our Carrier?

Dave was able to step in and find out about this naval game where you were challenged to try and destroy their Carrier on the tabletop.

Mighty ships were gunning it out with quick play rules and some donated models. Submarines and more were battling it out to see who could take the crown.

Something about naval warfare, must be the island nation mentality.

Surely it should have been a challenge to sink their battleship!

Glad I’m not the only one thinking about the Battleship reference.

This is my thing- massive modern era warship battles. I am such a huge fanboy for warships and naval battles from blue water navies ( ocean) to black water navies ( space– I am a Space battleship Yamato fan)

Make sure you check under the table for Uboats.

I prefer Star ship fleets, but whatever floats yer boat! 😉

I’m assuming this is a WWII era game, if it was modern you’d have to play it across the entire Salute hall on two different tables, and just use walkie talkies to say “I shoot missiles at you” until one of you is out of countermeasures and their fleet is destroyed.

Looking good, even if it not really my cup of tea.

They needed mats from deepcut studios. Would have made the ships pop.

That’s a lot of… grey. Some of the WW I naval camo schemes would have been a nice addition.

Sometimes you don’t need big detailed boards, or fancy mats, or highly detailed over-the-top minis to have a bit of dice-chucking battle fun. Just a good attitude and a little imagination. They all look like they’re enjoying it 🙂

That’s quite a difference in scale to your usual naval game. Impressive!

They need a far larger table!
