Chariots of Rome Comes Racing To Kickstarter From Victory Point Games

If you have been around games for a while then you might remember a gem of a game from Avalon Hill called Circus Maximus. In this game, you created a chariot racing team and then took to the sand within Circus Maximus to race others to glory, all the time risking life and limb for fame.
It is a tremendous game that is still a lot of fun to play. Sadly, Circus Maximus is no longer available unless you find a used copy somewhere. But do not be too disheartened Victory Point Games has come to Kickstarter to bring us Chariots of Rome a modern, easy to play enjoyable take on the old classic.
You will choose a faction, prepare your chariot and assemble your team of horses and prepare to enter the Circus Maximus to become champion.
What makes this even more enjoyable is that you not only want to go around the track the fastest but use your strengths and wits to plan and execute attacks against the other racers.
This is where the fun is, only going around the track the fastest is oh hum at best, but lashing your opponents into crashing into the walls is awesome. This game using a combination of a Tri die and Fate cards to help dictate events during the game.

I remember seeing the original on YouTube a couple of years back. It looked a great game.
It is a tremendous game. We still play it quite often. We are in the process of converting it to a 28mm Scale miniatures game with physical Circus Maximus.
Played the original a few times and I own the Renegade Legion version of it which is fun as well
