Drowned Earth Renders Pop Up Ahead Of Kickstarter Launch
April 15, 2017 by brennon
If you're excited about the launch of The Drowned Earth tomorrow we have a treat for you as we show off some of the render work that has been going into the miniatures for the game.
Bondsmen & Militia
We've seen a lot of the concept art recently but this gives us another look at a step in the process.
We kick things off with this absolutely epic looking Gorilla for the Bondsmen. When it comes to battling it out in a ruined world sometimes you just need brute strength and a big axe to get the job done. He's also packing a rifle for when things get more heated.
Following on from him we have Gersla, also for the Bondsmen, who we saw in some artwork towards the later half of the week. She still looks like she means business with that big ol' gun in hand.
Following on from her we have Limosssk who wields the "Souvla", the flaming blade. now that is quite a feat of engineering I will say. Maybe he should go and have a chat with Stannis Baratheon about flaming weaponry.
Last but not least we have Ranelle touting a massive minigun into battle. There's going to be nowhere to hide from that as it spins up and spits death across the tabletop.
This fellow fights for the Militia, the military looking group we checked out last week. You know you need to do a diorama for this chap with the bullets spilling out all over the floor.
Are you going to be checking out The Drowned Earth when it launches tomorrow?

Oh no they didn’t!! *Snapping fingers in a Z shape
I go bananas over apes!
This game targets my gaming and painting ADHD perfectly!!! Every model is unique and looks like they are going to be so fun to paint up!!! Now… to head to the dollar store and pet store to find some fake plants for terrain purposes!!!! (although definitely NOT putting quite so many trees across the front of the board as Justin and the BoW crew =p)
I don’t want to look at this but the minis are stunning, the big gorilla is amazing – no Sage but very cool.
The leaping ape is a great pose. I do feel that the fur on a couple of these sculpts is looking a bit more like feathers or leaves than fur.
Great to see these sculpts keeping so true to the artwork. Great job!
they would be great as a futuristic special forces squad. (guardians of the galaxy?)
Hehe I was thinking Bucky O Hare
I´ll be definitly onboard with that KS…
Just curious …..when everybody else clicks the ad at the top of the BoW page to they actually go to the kickstarter or, like me, do you see the same place holder that has been in place for the last 48 hours ?….(fairly certain, even with me being ahead in time, that the kickstarter has started)
Great sculpts, but the mini’s being metal is what is keeping me away from the game. Over time i’ve come to loathe working on metal mini’s. It started with the older Warmahordes stuff and grew when i was trying to work on Infinity mini’s. Just the thought brings me out in a cold sweat, which is a shame, as these ( and many other metal mini’s ) are great.
