Army Painter RuneWars Hobby Weekend Live Blog – Saturday
Progress Update From Lloyd!
We catch up with Lloyd who has been painting away on the Waiqar forces for RuneWars.
He is going with plenty of bone, some metallics, a nice touch of blue and then a winter theme to tie it all together.
What do you think of the idea of a White Walker look?
Like that colour combo from Lloyd.
Looking good Lloyd, the blue cloak makes this lot look like some of the good guys who’ve died and been raised to fight again.
Lloyd, get moving, time is running out on you ;P But man i really love the color scheme he’s going for. i wil ltotally steal at least some ideas for myself 😉
From experience I would highlight before using the dip
Lloyd your stuff looks brilliant. Nice work. Your big beasty, you should base in necrotic flesh, it would work really well with the blues.
Nice colour scheme Lloyd, looking good. Like your basing idea to, hope it works out how you expect.
White Walkers, love it!
Looking good Lloyd, looking good. I think your efforts are much better than Justin’s bananas he did on his last boot camp…..LOL
These look awesome so far Lloyd! Love the colours!
Interesting to see how the baking Soda idea comes out
Looking forward to seeing how the baking powder bases turn out. Sounds like it should work really well, if it does I might have to copy that one 😀
Really interesting idea. Looking forward to seeing them done.
Army Painter has some really gorgeous colors, especially in the purples, blues and greens and I love seeing people utilizing those colors to give some real vibrancy to their armies.
And I look forward to seeing how those bases turn out!
As suggested baking soda idea to be “borrowed” should give the base an interesting under glow.
Thumbs up for the snow basing, it’ll look great with blue colour scheme and fits the undead/white walker theme.
Need to get going. I was expecting that the participants would have blockpainted all the models by now. It might just be the time difference with Australia that confuses me. Time to go to bed. Good night.
Don’t give up Lloyd! There’s still time!
Can’t wait to see how Loyd’s bases turn out.
looks nice. that blue really “pops”
Looks great! I am curious to see the bases when the are done.
I’ll be interested in seeing how the basing idea turns out. The blue really pops on the minis.
That blue scheme looks fantastic!
GL Lloyd. looking good so far.
That looks quite good. The bright clothes on the skeles works well
