Daring Aussies & Japanese Soldiers On The Way For Bolt Action
March 25, 2017 by brennon
Warlord Games has shown off some upcoming model sets for use with Bolt Action. They are looking back to the Pacific theatre this time around as they reveal the Australian Independence Command Squad and some rather daring Japanese soldiers too...
These Commandos were sent on some daring missions to perform raids, demolition, sabotage, subversion, and organisation of civil resistance against the Japanese.
You would have found them fighting across the entire of the South Pacific and deep behind enemy lines. The squad are armed with a series of Submachine Guns, Bren Guns and Rifles.
Desperate Soldiers
Matched against them might have been these Japanese Bamboo Spear Fighters who are soldiers that have been left with no other option than to grab the sharpest piece of bamboo they can to charge their enemies.
These soldiers would have been hungry, desperate, and yet totally loyal to the Emperor and determined to fight on regardless of having access to little weaponry or support from their fellows.
As you might imagine their attacks almost always ended in a slaughter but they stunned the Allied soldiers who saw their bravery. Some of them would have grenades strapped to their bodies so when they fell they might be able to take some of their foes with them - a terrible fate.
What do you think?
"Some of them would have grenades strapped to their bodies so when they fell they might be able to take some of their foes with them - a terrible fate..."
I am really looking forward to these Aussies. I plan to combine them with the minis from Brigade Games for my next Bolt Action force.
Those Aussie commandos are fantastic. You can almost smell them!
love them.
I was just talking about starting a second force for Bolt Action and was looking to go for an Australian one so I can see a box of these turning up at home sometime soon :).
Aussies look great.
My wallet preys they don’t get cool k47 stuff, especially anything Tank girl inspired
Thanks mate ……. Oh you were talking about the minis ….. *blushes ….. *leaves
While the Aussies look OK I am a bit underwhelmed by the Japanese.
Being the author of the Japanese BA book, I always feel a bit sad if some of the minis are not as good as hoped…
🙁
What are those Australian weapons? Can’t recognise them
Several of the Japanese look like they could also be used for samurai games as spear armed peasants such as with Ronin…
Those Aussies are rather good. How ever to be honest those Japanese are not that impressive.
