March 8, 2017 by crew
Join MrStainless001 once again as he powers on with his Total War: Warhammer Let's Play. Sam is taking control of the Bretonnians from the newest DLC pack and will be gaining a foothold in the Old World.
Do you think he's going to be able to push back the enemy at his door and secure a future for his resplendent army of brightly coloured knights?

So frustrated my laptop can’t run this!
I know you can find this online, but would anyone please post what the minimum requirements for a computer to run this game are and then what you have that makes the game actually work. Thanks.
@pschwag what follows is on the back of the game.
PC min. specs.: operating system: windows 7 64bit, processor: intel core 2 duo 3ghz ram:3GB hard drive:35gb video card: directx11,AMD Radeon HD 5770 1024MB, NVIDIA GTS 450 1024MB or Intel HD4000
I always found the TW games super demanding on PC’s let alone laptops 🙁
That they are. After I played it on my old pc a couple of moths, i decided to upgrade my pc, and oh boy that changed the graphic and the loading times of the game. I got so badly beaten up because I was so busy looking at my armys fighting, that I more or less forgot to control them 😉
Yeah I had to upgrade my PC to play this. New graphics card, power supply etc. But, it was worth it!
Great LP btw @stainless001 – looking forward to more 🙂
I liked playing with the warriors of chaos, the only thing I found a bit annoying was the damage you took when they were to close to each other.
I still have to play two factions and I haven’t got the extra DLC for the dwarfs and goblins so it might still change.
Ooh, so are Dwarfs and Goblins the two factions you haven’t played as?
@stainless001 I have played the Dwarfs and Goblins before the DLC was out but I am going to play them again later.
I am currently playing the Wood Elves but I have only started a while ago and the Bretonnians is the last if they don’t release a new faction.
coconuts and flight of the Valkyrie at the ready, lets do this
a great looking game loved the other versions of Total War.
I’ve only played total war, Rome, all the way, though. Have the Oriental one but can’t remember its name, or even be able to spell it off hand, I think. (Show gun) that kind of rings a bell now I’ve written the above. This game looks good to me, and one of my Warhammer Armies is Bretonnian. So I’m keen to find out new things which never came to the gaming table about my army (if only). Glad to say we still play Warhammer in our club and the clubs members from nearby clubs, still filling are armies with new… Read more »
really love this game and in many ways filled the gap that was left when wfb ended for me .Was I big fan of shogun and rome total war series of games combine this with the proper warhammer setting makes this so additive just the brets and the wood elf /beastman add-0n to do .Only down side is I seem to spend more time on this than painting and playing with fantasy my armies these days
I play Brettonians since 2 weeks and last weekend I started new because there are so many things you have to look after during the starting phase. 1st: Get rid of those Greenskins as soon as possible! I managed it in 2 rounds after this debuff apeared. 2nd: Military Allies are no reason for not getting confederated. After 90 rounds I was confederated with nearly every Brettonian faction (only Carcassone denied). 3rd: You need a quick victory over Marienburg because if it takes too long they flee into confederation with the Imperium… as they did during my besieging attempt. 4th:… Read more »
I guess my question is what is your goal with this article series? There are many videos on YouTube showing play throughs of Warhammer total war. In your play through, you went very quickly through the gameplay so Hoyt explaining much of how the game is played. That means it’s not really a detailed “how the game plays” review. You also didn’t take the time to
Compare/contrast the game to the tabletop game/armies.
Basically, my question is, what is the “Beasts of War” Warhammer total war video series going to provide us over the other Warhammer total war videos on the internet?
Foehammer888, I guess my main question in response to your question (sorry for answering a question with a question, I hate that) would be this: is it ok if this series’ sole purpose is to provide entertainment? So for me, I’m a video gamer first and a tabletop gamer second. I’m incredibly new to the hobby and am still learning how everything works, am being introduced to new games etc. For me I’m knowledgeable about the TW series, and thereby I’m knowledgeable about TWW. I’m not knowledgeable in how the tabletop runs as I have yet to play it, for… Read more »
