Flames Of War 4th Edition Boot Camp: Day Three
Campaign Mega Game - Turn #1 Round Up
We stop in with the gamers and find out how Turn #1 has gone. It looks like the British have really pushed out in force to try and take the objective from the Germans.
Will this be a winning move or are we going to find ourselves facing some German guns blasting apart the British armour?
Come on afrika korps
Bring in the dakka
I’ve never seen a game so big it’s amazing
It’s amazing that the players are getting through the turns so quickly in such a big game. That might say something about the rules.
Yes I agree. I am really liking the speed of play and ease at which people have been picking up the rules. Always a great sign for FOW designers
Admittedly, we left antitank guns and artillery off the table. Also, we’re not playing with infantry and aircraft. But yes, these turns were allocated for 15 minutes per side, but we were blowing through them in 5-10 minutes.
Looks like a lot of fun!
Let’s go afrika korps you can beat them 🙂
Send in the Tiger
No planes ,
Those German panzers are going to be a challenge.
Keep pushing DAK.
Tank battles are great fun and play out quickly.. I’m thinking mastering the new movement orders is a big key now..
“I’m thinking mastering the new movement orders is a big key now.” – Definitely for the Germans this is true.
Lots of tanks…lots of destruction!! Awesome
that is one hell of a wall.
Gung Ho tactics – why not – “win if you win” and “win if you lose”!
(Ed – that doesn’t sound right, are you sure this has been thought through or is it simply a ruse to ensure a quick game?)
Tank war very cool
Have the British not put them in the open with this bold dash forward?
This is going to get very crazy…very quickly! C’mon Monty’s boys 🙂
8,8cm Flaks food is coming
I call the Brits on this one!
COME On DAK! Great game so far!
Not sure I would necessarily be the one to collect the last man standing prize.
Sort ’em out Justin, crack the whip and put the boot in on them
When are planes coming in?
Well the britch pushed, now to give them some german steel.
They just really wanted those prizes.
