Hobby Time - Washes Are Great!

We take a look and see how quickly you can get stuff onto the tabletop.

Take a peek at some of the massed ranks of tanks and artillery that folks have been working on today which has turned into some rather special armies.

Washes appear to be your best friend!

I always tell new painters that washes forgive everything

These post and videos have been great breaks from my own DAK painting efforts this weekend. After I finish a step, I pop on and watch a video and read a post or two then back to work! Very motivational!

Just a quick wash and a little highlighting can work miracles!

Washes and drybrush are some of the best techniques for new painters to learn. You can get some good results with little headache and then progress to the trickier techniques.

I do not understand why you would focus on painting your army during a boot camp when you have the change to play with guys you dont meet every day, you have a campaign running and you have access to two mentors…baffles me! But enjoy!

I think, it is because the BOW Team has geared this particular boot camp more towards the hobby side of it, and as allowed assess and provided a ton of paints to them all if i am not mistaken.

On 15mm models with base coat and wash you can have a good base result very fast to start playing.

Sort of like actual tank factories during the war. Just get em done and ship em out!

The new paint sets look nice. I’m glad that they included a wash in it.

At that small scale a wash is great

Granted. But the kid in me would be too excited to play as many game as possible…and I would paint in my lonely basement painting room later on. Great event so far!

I love washes. Also their are no clean soldiers or equipment on a battlefield. Washes and grit are your friend.

Oooh, Mark from Paranoid Miniatures eh? Wonder if that means they’ll be doing some Mythos filming after the boot camp. Inquiring minds want to know.

Great idea for fast painting. Sure looks better than unpainted plastic.
