Flames Of War 4th Edition Boot Camp: Day Two
Early Morning Hobby
Some of the Boot Camp members were in early this morning to get a bit more hobby done on their armies.
They have really been getting stuck into the desert theme and using all manner of quick and indeed more detailed techniques. Hopefully we'll catch up with some of the Boot Camp members later on in the day and see how their models have come to life.
Gaming happens very soon too!
A title for the battle: Sandbags at Dawn
I love the smell of spray paint in the morning…it smells of…victory!
Alternative title: Sandbags under my eyes…
…can’t wait to see what today brings.
Sad that the doctor couldn’t attend!!!
“The early hawk catches the first rat”.. As they might have said in the desert 😉
Is that one of the new paint sets I see 🙂
Remember to drink from the right cup…
So I was wondering what brand plastic glue are these guys using. I like the long applicator, it seems it would offer more control and precision.
It’s ‘revell contacta’. It’s good, kinda thin but gives a great bond with plastics.
@avernos Hey G you just realised you brought your plastic Vikings by mistake?
Can’t wait for the Italians and us forces aswell I like the direction they are responsible going with FoW
I see Gerry has made it to another boot camp (Lucky). I’m starting to believe you now keep him at the studio in a cupboard downstairs and break him out for BCs or Saga. I can only assume that the explosion the other day was Gerry waking up early and almost escaping before the event began, @avernos can you confirm a successful escape? Keep the good work up guys, I love the live blogs.
Going to be interesting to see some paint jobs today
Everything is better with Java!
It would not be a proper event if there was not a whiff of dullcoate about it.
Coffee or tea and spray primer, what a great way to start the day.
Coffee and hobby , the perfect mix
Hope we get to see some nice pain schemes today
Coffee and priming. The early bird gets to blow crap up
@swbeil Could not have said it better
That, I do not think I can do… too early to be hobbying…
Now to set up the wind machine, and occasionally throw sand at people.. time to hit the desert.
I would love to see what everyone did.
There’s nothing like a bit of hobby in the morning.
I know primed coffee is a thing, but that’s not how you make it. Also Java is 6000 miles… that way.
I need to find that coffee shop that will do a double shot latte and a tin of dunklegelb.
Coffee, hobby and thee
