Would you use these same techniques if doing a whole regiment of necromantic puppets? And do you recommend different style for the different units or should there be a greater continuity?
A relics game is such that you don’t have a huge number of miniatures on the table, as I understand it, so you can spend more time on each of them… Like with Malifaux, the miniatures themselves are mostly individuals, they have character, and I think it’s proper to actually paint each one separately… Also, these are MUCH quicker to paint than most miniatures, because they’re smaller. I didn’t spend a lot of time painting this one, as I recall. You don’t have to worry about proportions, or the details of a human face, no eyes, no gemstones… and there… Read more »

I used to make fun of my buddy for using cheater glasses. Now I have to wear a pair of my own. I know the feeling when you can’t see where the tip of your brush is going anymore.
