Some really good deployment advises there, what I usually do after a game (if I have the time) is switch sides with my opponent and play the same scenario again, this allows me to see how he would tackle the challenges of my side with his army and allow me to appreciate his challenges and see how he has tackled them in the previous game.
Carlos it seems deployment tactics really add fun to Infinity. You can have an advanced option that will make this game even more fun than it currently is. Have faction markers, which need only be little 1 inch squares with the color faction symbol on it. You can make these larger if you want to print unit stats on the back but you don’t really need this. All you need is a single dot in the center and the name of the unit the marker represents. As you place your models you instead put these markers down as you normally… Read more »
someone reading this might think ‘why would you want to use these markers’. Well, in the video above, had they used them the robot with that total reaction ability, the other player would NOT have known where that thing was, and say he put an important model in a place and moved him out only to discover low and behold the first model to ARO against him is revealed to be that deadly model, and before the model moved to trigger then ARO he only say 3 possible markers thus up to 3 models might have reacted and he didn’t… Read more »
One thing that perhaps might be made a more general change – Impersonators deployed in opponent’s deployment are now have to only make a WIP roll which is rather easy (WIP15). Paradiso Campaign has introduced some modifiers for PH and WIP when deploying on opponent’s side of the table (-3) or his deployment (WIP-6 for Impersonators).
I’m wondering if this is something that will be introduced as standard in the future? Have you had some positive feedback and think it’s a good general idea?
These vids rock, thank you very much!
Where did that terrain all come from? Some of the pieces look like Micro Art Studio but I haven’t seen enough of their line in the flesh to be certain.
Most of it is MAS, but the blue/white buildings are from Bandua: http://www.banduawargames.com/en/935-designed-for-infinity
This is great stuff. It shows levels of sneakiness I didn’t know existed in Infinity. I do love a bit of sneakin!
I’m even more tempted to break the “no new games/armies” vows once again.
Really found that useful, and informative…as previous comment from some geezer, I had vowed to stay with what I have, (FOW and FOF games), this however, It was a fight between Mercs and Infinity, this has all but clinched the decision…..just got to convince the memsaab..
I wonder what Infinity gaps Warren will find to game in? 😀
To list a few
Neocolonial wars
Humanities edge
Ariadnas/ Aurora Isolation
First Antipodes Offencive
Dawn loss/ First struggle at Paradiso
Second battle at Paradiso/ First offensive/ Loss of Ravensbruke
Silk wars
Commercial wars
And if one does not want to go for “historical” gaps
One could make a fugitive Templars order
A darker Aleph directive sect
A more independent Myrmidon force
Ariadna SAS force on blackops
Some Imperial Secret Service subcell on an blackops mission
the list can go on.
Not to mention the little-known Ariadna Stug platoon. 🙂
Seeing this video is one of the reasons way I like this game so much. infinity is a great game
Yeah ! I eat every bit of Infinity goodness. Still praying for Infinity battle reports with nice camera angles.
battle reports would be nice
Bostria is a really great guy to be around… he really believes in Infinity and shows great pride in it…. He is knowledgeable on the topic of gaming in general…. A demo with him is a real treat……
looking forward to the next infinity video^^
I play this game ..
I love this game…
These videos are very helpful. Thank you!
