IndieGoGo Plays Host To New Skirmish Game Rack & Ruin
July 11, 2013 by brennon
IndieGoGo is hosting a new campaign for Rack & Ruin: A Campaign Based Fantasy Skirmish Game. This one looks like it could be a nice step in the right direction...
Rack & Ruin is a Fantasy Skirmish Game that also draws on the richness of role-playing games. Much like a tabletop RPG you write up a set of characters and choose their skills, statistics and talents but then you take them to the tabletop with terrain, objectives and skirmish style rules. It's a little bit like the way Inquisitor used to run.
I love this idea of mixing role-playing with skirmish gaming and breathing a little more life into the characters your using on the table. If you want a quick look at the rules then you can delve into a Beta version HERE.
The cover art is looking great and it'll be fun seeing how this all develops.
What do you think?

This actually sounds like a good idea! I love how he keeps calling it a Kickstarter campaign:)
At the time of filming I was planning to go with Kickstarter. Although I knew it wasn’t open to Canadians I had spoken to a fulfillment company that would be handling the Amazon Payment stuff for me. But, during the time the video was in editing Amazon Payments cracked down on companies doing just that. So when I went to company and said “all ready to go” they told me they couldn’t do it anymore. I decided to run with Indiegogo, but really didn’t have the resources to film another intro video.
