The Legends Of Fabled Realms Coming Soon From 4Ground
March 2, 2017 by brennon
4Ground has been working away on their own miniatures game and it's nearly time for The Legends Of Fabled Realms to make an appearance on the tabletop.
So what do we know so far? Well, the main focus is around two of the key factions - the Eightfold Path and the Druggoi.
The Factions
The Druggoi are the leaders of a band of ravenous monsters infected with a deadly virus known as the Drugoul. These beasts then fall into lesser categories including the Gluttons and the Terrors.
Each of them is a fearsome foe ready to rip you limb from limb. Conversely the Eightfold Path are a religious order of valiant warriors.
They are dedicated to the eradication of evil, especially the Druggoi. Made up of two main sections the order is split into the Initiates and the Ascended. The Ascended are those who have consumed the blood of the Druggoi and have not been corrupted. Those who pass the test have shown their strength of will.
There are other factions coming too including the Mordanburg City Watch and the Sellswords, but we'll fill you in on them at a later date.
The Game
The Legends Of Fabled Realms is played out as a skirmish game featuring between six and thirty figures per side.
The game features mechanic known as the Momentum System which is built up between your characters. There is an active and reactive player at all times meaning that you can constantly feel like you're in on the action.
All checks are worked out using a set of custom dice and the idea is that you will be able to resolve conflicts quickly and in a narrative fashion.
For those of you who want an extra bit of spice there's even a Legacy Campaign System built into the game allowing your characters and henchmen to evolve over a series of encounters.
Want To Know More?
We have more information for you BUT you're going to have to wait! Watch out for an Upcoming Weekender where we're going to be talking to the guys from 4Ground to discuss a bit more about the game and what lies ahead.
For now enjoy some of the amazing artwork which will be gracing the pages of the rulebook and the card art for the game by Jared Blando. Much more lies ahead for this game including some themed terrain (it's 4Ground, what did you expect?) and some very nice looking miniatures too (including Dwarves, Elves, Gnomes, Orcs, Goblins and more).
Will you be keeping an eye out for more on Fabled Realms?

That’s cool. The Eightfold Path sound like they were inspired by the Grey Wardens of Dragon Age, they have a ‘ drink the blood ‘ ritual in the game as well. I look forward to the Weekender the guys appear on.
I was lucky enough to be able to chat to the guys from 4Ground about this a couple of weeks ago. They have been developing the background for this for over 20 years and are extremely enthusiastic about it, as am I after the conversation.
I was also very privileged to be shown some of the renders of the models they will be making. Even at an early stage they are fantastic.
I won’t say any more as I’m sure the Weekender will say it better than I could but I’m really looking forward to this.
So there’s new miniatures on the way for this? I like the sound of that.
Yup. I’ve only peeked at the very first miniatures for this but they’re looking awesome 🙂

Hmm this looks rather good, and so soon with little knowledge of what else. My Wallet is worried
Interesting, if they do this as well as their terrain they it should be good.
sounds like an interesting story line.
I’m definitely intrigued by this one- looking forward to finding out more soon!..
Ohhhh very interesting need to get my arse over to Warminster and see the guys…
I’m very happy skirmish games are everywhere at the moment, it justifies my terrain addiction.
I really don’t need _another_ fantasty or skirmish game, and the proof of the pudding will be in the execution of the idea, but I love the artwork. It has a very ‘old school’ vibe and compliments the little you’ve revealed about the setting nicely.
I’m definitely intrigued!
I can feel a Bootcamp coming on!
I hope the World Eaters don’t get word of this competing “Eightfold Path” organization.
If the models will match the artwork I’ll definitely be interested for those at least. And the game sounds decently interesting as well.
It’s actually a very old concept from Buddhism. Actually, the wheel representing it is in the centre of the Indian flag.
Today’s trivia! 🙂 (Although not sure how that ties in with the least Buddhist-like of Space Marine chapters!)
Looking forward to more news about this.
Hope BoW will make use of it being a British company and get plenty of coverage! 🙂
Looks like an interesting Game from a company of enthusiasts…..
The artwork seems old school which I like
Just saw the weekender on this. I am very interested.
