4Ground Fashion More Buildings For The Dwarves Of Karag Haim
June 4, 2016 by brennon
4Ground have shown off some more previews for their upcoming Dwarf range based in Karag Haim. These buildings here are smaller non-feature buildings to help add to your tabletop - used, within the fluff, for the warriors to bed down in.
As you can see they are squat little buildings for squat little fellows. The buildings are all made out of hard angular shapes, as you'd imagine, and they create a great atmosphere already. I love the way the roofs have been done too.
As in typical 4Ground style they've also worked some more detail into the pillars themselves with scrolling around the top and runes on the faces themselves. You even have that nice pattern AND the Dwarf face on the roof section. A neat little wooden door looks more dangerous and foreboding than welcome however.
Inside the buildings feature some very spartan detailing but I'm sure that you could work in some designs of your own here if needed. Otherwise I think these are highly functional buildings which is what a Dwarf would want.
I'm fairly sure that I will be picking these up when I get a chance from 4Ground. A grand underground city is calling to me.
What do you think?

NIce work, 4Ground! To quote @warzan, those are STUNNING!
Hopefully we will get a Dwarf Tavern as a centre piece!
I do like these!
Arguably, if you have 15mm or smaller Dwarven models then there’s nothing stopping these pieces already being on an Epic scale 😉
Ohh! Unexpected, but most welcome. Liking those for my Erebor Dwarves.
they look great, may also be good as a warriors tomb/crypt.
I want them, all of them. Perfect for my dwarf army for kings of war.
I don’t quite get the roof middle section. I take it it’s for placing models on top. Very nice kit other than that.
I am continually impressed by 4Ground’s designs and buildings like this are really good examples of how the designers manage to fit so much character into what otherwise could have been just a basic small building. I agree with the writer, I also love the roof, it does make the buildings seem squatter, which is perfect for dwarves. But I think the inside of the buildings look fine, you can even see a dwarven face etched under the mantle. Good job!
Looks a lot like something out of Markarth in Skyrim.
I like these, with the angular design and a silver metallic spray I think they’d have a cool halo forerunner look for scifi too.
