What do you make of this tutorial?
Looks good. Sometimes it’s nice to just get something just tabletop ready without a bunch of highlights and layers. That Matte Varnish is really good.
IMO for batch painting Brits you can double up on some colours: khaki and flat brown scrims; same grey on the boots and metalwork. OTOH yours does look a good bit nicer than mine do ?

Been away from the site for a while, and it was good to see this detailed tutorial for bolt action @johnlyons. Many thanks. RE canvas webbing, I don’t think there is a right colour, so anything from Khaki to sand, or even a grey green will work. I always thought the dubbing, blanko was to preserve and waterproof the webbing. From my own personal experience the biggest issue with canvas/hard fabric webbing (58 pattern in my case) was that it bloody shrank!
