really like what you did here Brian, instead of pre shading gaps between armor. Using wash technique is so much superior in my opinion, colour is so much better than just black underneath, well done, chipping with sponge – classic, time saver.
Cracking video, well done Brian 🙂
This is excellent, thanks for doing this. All the techniques are very simple really, will have to use some of them.
brilliant finish, if you have more time you could do a red/blue heat affect on the thruster sections?

Vallejo’s model air metallic blue can give that sort of effect, but capturing the iridescence is a sod to do.
Inks. I should do a tutorial about that but I’ve been basically procrastinating…
Amazing video, thanks a lot, I’m really interested on some weathering on Tau suits 😛
Brian’s skill is outstanding 🙂
Great video, I have a Valkeryie waiting to be assembled and painted and I think I’ll try some of these techniques. I might even grab some of my old cars back off my son to test on first.
Thanks guys!, Glad you all liked it 🙂
Couldn’t have done it better myself ! 🙂
Great video guys! I got myself an airbrush of couple of days ago so it’s nice to get/see some great techniques!
Keep up the good work!
Another great tutorial. I will have to dig my Valkyries out for a bit of weathering.
great looking effects and fantastic tutorial.
great job Brian and nice trigger control
How was the model painted at the start of the video? Was it with army painter desert yellow?
Yup that’s correct just using the colour primer 🙂
