Video does not work for me 🙁
It seems to be working now…
Thanks a lot, Romain ! 😀
nice result in short space of time
Thanks !
You can substantially reduce that time even more by skipping one or two sprays, by only using the strong tone quickshade, by using transfers, and of course by chain painting loads of marines at a time.
Not bad considering how long it took. Would work well with most marine armies if you manage to get the right colour sprays you need.
Not bad at all, though the model does look a bit grainy. I think that is because of the Army Painter spray. if not used correctly, it turns a model in to a grainy messy nightmare. I had that a couple of times and swore never to use Army painter again. I think a you’ll get a smoother result with an airbrush.
But thanks for the cool vid Romain!
You definitely get better results with airbrushing, of course ! But you can’t beat spray cans for ease of use.
If sprayed too far, the paint from any spray can forms little flakes… This is especially a danger with the Army Painter spray cans, which happen to have a very close ideal spraying distance.
If the room is warm the paint particles may (start to dry) before landing on the model preventing the paint flowing into a single layer with mist coats.
Hey Romain, I wanted to give you a big thankyou for directing me/others towards Vallejo paints. Instead of getting loads of new GW paint I decided to grab just as many Vallejo, and they’re great. Great colours, great value, more paint. Unlocking one’s self from GW’s claws is always hard.
Thanks for the kind words, everyone ! I’m only as good as my editing team makes me look !
I think I may also go down the Vallego road especially after the new conviluted range of paints that GW have taken out.
nice paint video.
