great tutorial as ever, could listen to Romain all day! Love the Bob Ross hairdo as well!
Thank you ! I try.
I only wish I had that much hair, though…
hmmm… not sure i am keen on this look. but as always a good tutorial:-)
I agree… but this is mainly theory. You can use this for weapons/blades, and it looks very diffeent on smaller armor pieces. Try it once, you’ll see ! 🙂
What you were looking for were the Custodians.
YES, thank you. It was getting confusing. 🙂
I understand, they are painting a lot of models in gold. It is getting hard to keep track of them all.
Hmmmmmm….very nice…….(*squints eyes*……. * thinks to self* I might be able to do this). Thank you Romain again, and for all the tutorials over the year. I hope you enjoy the festive season. All the best
a great affect very comic book like would look very gold like with a gloss varnish.Romain
really enjoyed the tutorial and the leaving the 1mm gap was a nice little eye opener for me.
merry Christmas, hope Santa brings more shinnies than you can shake a paint brush at.
I’m thinking of trying this technique but with a metallic gold base colour. Has anyone tried something like that?
I have, and it works. It’s how you paint metal in TMP actually… Be careful, though. Use non metallic paints for the shadows, but use metallics for the highlights (replacing the lighter yellow with a mix of gold and silver, and then the white with pure silver). Use the finest metallics you have for the highlights… if you have the Air range from Vallejo, it’s perfect. Don’t end with white, don’t slouch with the glazes, and dilute your paints well, as it’s easy to get a bit thick with metallics.
