The long awaited tutorial from the master is here. Today is a good day to be a backstage holder. Great job Romain!
As always interesting stuff – maybe the time have come to test this on some old throw away Bretonians 😉
Nonmetalic metal have always scared me
Hey Romain, great to see these non metallic metal videeos going up, it really feels like you guys hear us XD… I think I’ll try that technique on the white armor of my Retribution Myrmidons (the artwork makes it feel like it’s a metallic white, not plain white). Good thing is they have some really big surfaces to try that on. I’ll also use it on my infinity minis, but I’ll stick with metallic paints on Fantasy, Lord of the Rings and 40k (Doing this kind of thing on massed models is a bit overwhelming. Maybe I’ll try it on… Read more »
Oh, forgot to ask, any hints for non metallic metal with clearer colors? I’m working with GW and Vallejo paints so I’m thinking on a white or grey vallejo air basecoat, then astronomican grey base, skull white highlight and maybe fortress grey as shade (I think black would be too dark).
For a clearer metallic color… It’s coming up in one of the following tutorials done on the same miniature.
For Infinity style colors, you’d do well to consult the latest William Wallace tutorial on Infinity style armor.
You could also wait for August… But I will say no more !
Stay tuned…
R.
Well, I’ll just be patient and look out for the next videos then. Great work, Romain.
Thanks for the encouragement, guys, as always !
Finally got a chance to sit down and watch this. Really looking forward to seeing the next part. Thanks Romain for doing this (and the others hinted at in your comment, can’t wait).
Romain, thank you for the complete description while you work. For me it brings teaching and coaching all in one. Great to have this archive available.
