That looks stunning @elromanozo 😀
I never thought I would try something like this but your painting tutorials have given me the confidence to give this a go.
Thank you very much for this! Awesome tutorial!
Thanks guys ! If it makes you realize it’s not hard to achieve great results, I’ve done my job ! 🙂
looks exceptional, as you say most stars are formed in groups as gas clouds move/collapse through gravity shifts. @romain
Another terrific tutorial @elromanozo. I’ve been thinking about trying something similar with my airbrush but I hadn’t considered attempting this with brushes alone.
I will again reepeat myself but fantastic idea, great execution and so inspirational Romain, great work and cant wait to see more. can you do vid about how to introduce textures to flat surface like embroidery, cracked leather or how to improve free hands, what tools could be used to help with painting, like penciles, super thin ink pens etc.
@radegast6 i would imagine much of what @elromanzo demo’d last week for the freehand shield patterns would apply for doing that…

cheers this one I missed on my radar 😀
Thank you very much ! I’ve also got a tutorial about painting wood (to be aired) and more such surprises. You won’t get good results with ink pens (the ink ages differently, and usually bad) or pencils, but you can use a very light pencil to sketch something on a flat-ish surface (banner, etc.) like a drawing or a heraldic pattern, before painting over it. Be careful to paint over all the pencil lines. You can also sketch the final result in advance on a sheet of squared paper, trace fine squares on your banner the waviness into account, and… Read more »
Incredible! Looks great and not too difficult. I just don’t own any appropriately garish paint colors! Hah
@elromanozo thank you so much for that tutorial, it looks really stunning and it inspired me a lot.
I was a bit lost to figure a way in that i could do the bases for my upcomming yu jing-miniatures from infinity. And you put a litte idea in my head now that i want to try. To paint galaxies on the bases, as if they where standing on some see trough surface in a viewing gallery for the stars onboard a ship or space station.
Wish me luck that it will work.
Ooooh ! Cool idea. You can paint a reflection on it, or put on some heavy gloss varnish to make it seem like it’s glass… Or maybe a force-field glow effect around the feet of the miniatures ?
So many possibilities… 🙂
Those are some very good ideas i’ll have to try them out and see what looks best. Guess tomorrow i’ll have to buy some more paints and work on that idea 🙂 Thanks again!
@elromanozo Get into WAYPN we are trying out your stuff, come live the life of a deva! And live among your fans 😀

Thank goodness for reruns! A splendid tutorial! This could well be used on a few special units for my Eldar!
