Throughout this tutorial, he'll be showing off how to airbrush the multiple layers of green onto the vehicle to give it depth and also working through to using pigment powders for weathering and of course decals. You'll also see how he completes the internal details for this open-topped vehicle.
What do you think of John's tutorial?
Needs more pink! 😉
Would it not be easier to paint the top before you glue it to the tank John. A nice subtle change to the colours on the tank.
It would have maybe helped. But in my head I was thinking that if it was all together I could control the shades better.
Great Job John. I always love to see me some tank on the site. I always enjoy watching the weathering of a vehicle because no matter how you do it each tank turns out different, even if you were trying to make them look the same. Gives your army a bit a character which makes it all the better. Keep those Flames of War/Bolt Action/Chain of Command videos and models coming. Love em!
Just a quick question???
I have access to Vallejo Model Air at my local hobby shop. Any chance you would know the equivalent color in the model air range compared to the MIG paints which were the base colors for the tank?????

Awesome, thanks!!!!!!!
My son got me this for Christmas. Interested in the paint scheme, but I don’t have an airbrush, so I guess it should be possible to do the “old” way with brushes! Thanks, nice paint job. So any tips for brushing would be appreciated
Hey dude. If you’re not airbrushing then I would be painting the whole tank in the darkest green, then the next step up for the wheels, sides and top, then the next for the upper surfaces, and maybe wrap it up with a light drybrush of a lighter green. It won;t give the SAME effect, but, it would still give the change in tone quite well i think.
Thanks. That’s what I was thinking so that confirms the approach I’ll take.
