1) I like Duncan 🙂
2) It’s great to be able to comment on these vids and say things like… “I like Duncan!” 😉
Duncan has a lot to answer for… it was his Sons of Horus that got me doing them.
His Sons ? Do they looks that good ?
Good of them to show them using the sprays as everyone else uses them. I’m sure that they have some proper room for this inside.
Why would they ? They can just use their parking lot or something. It’s much better in a well ventilated area.
I can’t help but think… was a priming video tutorial really necessary ? I’ve only done some on pre-shading for speed painting, and the like, because it’s a specific technique, but there’s not a hundred ways to go about this : just follow the instructions on the can…
Its really not that hard to do, but on the other hand it might come in handy, for some, to find a complete knowledgebase with basic techniques at one place.
I doubt GW will ever touch the advanced techniques of your (great) videos Romain. In this regard GW videos can be a nice gateway to your videos.
Still good to see GW finally got an people oriented internet “connection” of some sorts.
If they ever discard retail high-street stores then this is the sort of video they will fal back on.
More importantly they intentionally neglect to mention testing the spray off to one side first so that you get no lumps. runs, clogging or other model ruining textures.
I can confirm there is a special room 😉 I was up at Warhammer World a couple of years ago doing a realm of battle board painting day/event. There is a room with what is basically a massive spray booth/extractor at one end that we were shown as the snow board painting scheme used a white spray during the session. The hobby guys use it to prep/build and paint all the warhammer world scenery and stuff.
