Games Workshop Painting Tutorial: How To Paint A Khorne Skullreaper!
March 16, 2015 by brennon
Duncan Rhodes isn't finished with the legions of Chaos as he also shows you how to paint a Khorne Skullreaper, one of the new models from Games Workshop for the Warhammer Fantasy End Times...
I quite like these miniatures and once again we've got a great tutorial on some basic techniques for making your armies look great on the tabletop.
How would you paint the Skullreapers?

GAH! start with the lowest colour not the armour! He even points out that you might need a smaller brush to get around the armour…
Personally, I always start with the largest area. That way I can merrily slap the paint on without worrying about where else it’s going.
I start with the lowest area as well.
Ouch…
Ok BoW I’m being serious here, speaking as a long time supporter and lover of your work, is posting multiple instances of GW painting tutorials on the front page on regular occasions really the best use of time or resources?
Are there not more interesting or creative videos out there on YouTube or whereever?
Just to reiterate I do love you guys but I do feel this way, of course I’m sure others may/will disagree.
And I’m one who disagrees 😉
While I agree this particular tutorial is sub-par (friends don’t let friends paint that sort of skintone…) I do think it’s important to show them and have the community react to them here. Whether it’s on the front page or not is just a question of scheduling, really.
I remember when I used to paint this way…Looks decent, but it’s more like factory painting. Classic GW standard
Am I the only one that is finding backstage a pain in the arse to navigate. I can’t work out what is backstage and what isn’t. This is showing on my profile as being part of backstage yet points to a YouTube video that isn’t even your own content. How does that work?
