Wow – nice compo 🙂
You know, I’d have had a much better chance at winning this if you’d done it during the private beta stage… 😉
lol shite sorry mate I knew we forgot something back then.
Lol what a prize
Goff stompa ftw !
Yay stompa, even though I do sm and csm but still. 😀
Love the painting tutorials! They are easy even for those of us that are not painting gods and still manages to make the minis look sweet! Keep em coming!
So let me get this straight ur giving away 2 stompas at random an all i have to do is be logged into BOW.com for the 15 days before u pick, to get a chance to win one?
YES 😉
Dont forget John is painting both of them ‘coz he loves painting stompas so much!
He may love paintin’ them, but he HATED building it I seem to remember.
I know what he went through, to be honest. I’ve built a Stompa and the problem is the body is in five sections AND the base AND the neck-bit. Which all need to be glues at once to make sure they fit properly.
So you have to hold all the pieces together, make sure the bottom doesn’t fall off, and the top doesn’t ping off, and all the pieces are aligned and flush with each other, and not glue it to your hands. Fun 😛
Oh god do the part designers realize we only have the 3 hands?
Tape works well for holding pieces together while glue sets. But only if the pieces fit, if there’s a lot of resistance or the parts are warped, tape might not work.
kool do i have to be logged in each day or fer only one?
Sweet had been thinking of getting a stompa for my orks *Looks around and sends some Ork Kommando’s to go rig the results in his favor while no one is looking*.
*find’s me there rigging them already*
Sure, I’ll gladly have one please mates 🙂 Not that I have anything ELSE lying around my place. Like 11 tanks, 1 flyer, 2 walkers, 2 demons, etc. And a shetload of various infantry.
This is a nice tutorial, because it generally shows what you can achieve in a relatively short period of time (for such a big model), but also going into some more specialist techniques. I love the oil effect.
I mean, that thing is huge! I can’t begin to comprehend the enormity of such a paint-job, especially since I’m one of those slow, fussy painters. It would probably take me all year to do that! 🙂
ooh
don’t need a Stompa but wouldn’t say no!
Would be donated to the Study Group youngsters! 😀
Right, I’m off to look for a four leaf clover!
I have to say I truly enjoy watching these large model painting/assembly videos. John seemed so happy when the Stompa was revealed 😀 But hey. At least brush basecoating was not enforced 😉
Wow nice prize and and a great way of giving it away two. Great idea Beast of War
Love the videos and hope that this was a great project to work on, good luck to everyone and cant wait to hear from the winners.

I have absoloutely no need of a Stompa at the moment, but it’d be a damn good motivator to get my AoBR Orks painted 😀 Great seres guys!
