Looks great! What undercoat did you use? Doesn’t look like a std grey as last time?
a fantastic quick way to get table ready figures for games John.
‘We have to be careful so we don’t break that arm when drybrushing’ – that’s ‘nother vote for metal minis.
John must have an unlimited paint budget, the way he puts big blob son the palette for 1 mini and leaves the lids open while painting.

I would still take a resin model over metal. I prefer not having the mini bend if i happen to drop it, and even if it breaks, I’m less annoyed than when a metal model breaks as the paint tends to chip off and needs more attention after fixing it to cover over the bare metal. My paint budget? I think I buy paint/replace existing paints maybe once every 2 years? It really depends. I don’t find leaving the lids open a problem (when filming at least, as each clip is maybe only 10-15 minutes) I wouldn’t leave a pot… Read more »
Aside from the odd spear or bayonet, I’ve never had any major problems with metal minis breaking. On the flip side, a 3D-printed Rabbit Assassin broke 4 times (ear & blade) during cleanup and painting, not sure if I even want to use her in any games, she’ll probably just stay on a shelf. Maybe I’ll put her under a little glass dome, like they do with those antique porcelain dolls. I’m using a similar technique to burn through my Reichbusters set.
Mantic is vile and Evil when it comes to mould lines though.
