@romain Ha ha I love the ‘that is fine for the rank and file, but that is where you begin not where you end.’ ahh classic man.
It seems like these techniques could used for a lot of different colours like green or red? I will have to try it out some time.
Love this video. I really like the choice of colors here. I’m totally using this on my Kukulkani.
Great tutorial as always! Do you have a youtube channel or anything? I need more Romain!
I really like the Kingdom Death models but the pinups line I find to be a bit too hyper sexualized. I’m certainly not offended, they’re just not for me.
@omgourds You can find more painting tutorials from Romain and others on the website here: http://www.beastsofwar.com/3-colors-up/
We also have a large selection of painting videos on our youtube channel on this playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL054807AF24EFBA17
Plus a neat little Romain specific playlist from a community member here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0EA6SFQ1tqWNY673ZRU6ELlEyQteKnLg
Sweet, gentle mother o’ God, I love these Kingdom Death miniatures. 😀 I … I can’t quite put my finger on why … 😀
well, you could but you’d be looking at 5 to 10 years
I think the figure looks really good now, skin looked great after your first colours
Lovely job
@elromanozo, I love your work but I think I’d enjoy the videos more if you stopped talking about the ethics of pin-up miniatures. I disagree with so much of what you’re saying and listening to it whilst watching the painting tutorial is kind of spoiling it a bit. I’m not spoiling for an argument about it so I’ll say this; when I watch 3 Colours Up, I want to watch a painting tutorial, not a lesson in morality.
Cue down votes
I only teach painting, not ethics. If you thought this was more than me expressing my opinion, you may have been taking this a little too personnally… but since you’re clearly telling me you don’t care about whatever I say on that subject, I can freely return the sentiment. Have a nice day ! 🙂
That’s not quite what I said now is it? If I didn’t care about what you were saying, I wouldn’t be posting about it would I?
Precisely. You care a little too much about that. Luckily, I care not.
Do I care or do I not care?
a great figure you have chosen romain a great colour blue as well.
I watch these shows for the philosophical monologues. The painting is just a bonus. 🙂
You’re very kind… but really, this is just about the painting. The rest is just here as a filler for better teaching ! I’ll keep doing it since it seems to be working. 🙂
Many of us do start watching these shows for the painting but stay for the philosophy. Looking forward to the second part.
And thank you I had not thought of using arcane blue for skin, my Dark Elves will never by same again.
The link to the second part doesn’t work
Seems to be working now.
is there a way to link these videos to your account to watch again later rather than searching through all the painting tutorials
