I really wish there was a speed-up option. With my life, I have 15 mins, I don’t usually have 30 mins….
@zberg I can only speed it up so much :c
Good things take time… This hobby does too. If you can’t sit down and focus to paint for a few hours, well, you can’t. But I sympathize… I’ve had to sacrifice a lot of my hobbies as I got older.
It’s a beautiful colour and is unusual to see on an armoured suit like that Romain.
Once again you’ve knocked it out the park. Awesome job
There is the flair of an artist to all of Romain’s work. You learn a lot just by watching him.
often wondered why @elromanozo seems to never use mediums, now i know 🙂
Not to disparage the practice… it’s wonderful for keeping your paint fresh and mixing on the miniature. Almost feels like oils, if you put too much in. Very nice for wet-blending large surfaces… as long as you touch it up later.
Another great show, have to add a few of your colouring tips to my force, did my Farther Knights in this colour they look good but with a little bit more of your help as normal they shall be better.
Thanks for all of your help, my painting has came on leaps and bounds since watching you paint.
see you can teach old dogs new tricks.
it’s hard to find p3 colours in switzerland. Are there vallejo’s i could use insted of the recommended p3 colours?
Absolutely ! You can use any colour of any brand you like.
For close tones, I recommend tones from the Model Colour range, such as Blue Green, Turquoise, Light Turquoise, Deck Tan, Light Sea Grey, Light Grey Blue, and Dark Blue Grey. You’ll have to mix a little if you want to get the exact colours, and you certainly don’t have to own them all (just the ones you like), but you’ll get there !
it may be a pain but what about the codes from a second paint range? romain
It’s no trouble… I always get a bit puzzled at people who demand exact tones… I never think like that. I simply buy interesting tones, select them from what I have, and mix what I don’t have. I have the colour I want in mind before I know its name. Be a chef, not a recipe follower… improvise ! Experiment ! 🙂 I understand the need that many people have for exact recipes to copy, and I quite tones by name, but please, free yourself from thinking in terms of “I need this exact thing”. If you don’t have it,… Read more »
It may be useful to know that I have my “go to” colours, but that I try to get away from them, because one needs to break the routine and keep experimenting.
My go-to colours (and their brand, because by definition I like that particular nuance, so it’s almost always brand specific) are :
Hull red, from Vallejo
Periscopes, from Vallejo
Ivory, from Vallejo
Ice Yellow, from Vallejo
Deck Tan, from Vallejo
Oxford Blue, from Vallejo
Coal Black, from P3
Greatcoat Grey, from P3
Khador Red base, from P3
Arcane Blue, from P3
Rucksack Tan, from P3
African Shadow, from scale75
Alien Purple, from the Army Painter

Thank you everyone for your wonderful praises… The response to these armor tutorials has been extremely positive, and I’m glad this sort of thing helps you ! I’ll be sure to do more of this kind of tutorials in the future.
gorgeous, I love that word it really feels and sounds like its meaning.
sorry for drifting only when you said pretty it reminded me of kill bill when bill asks little BB what’s better than pretty.
I really like the P3 teal colours, I think they’re the most interesting on the market.
why you use water as your medium was this weeks little gem.
thanks also for covering the lines of light that Angel uses a lot on his armour these days.
and as always thanks for my Friday night post work unwind.
Such high praise ! Thank you, thank you…
